Translation Settings

Upload a braille music score (.brf/.brl), LilyPond score (.ly), or MusicXML file (.musicxml/.mxl).

Only matters when "Include Measure Numbers" is on. "Print Score" keeps a source MusicXML/LilyPond file's own numbering (e.g. a pickup measure numbered 0) instead of recalculating it.

Adds the piece title and a braille page number to every page. Turn off for a plain continuous stream with no page breaks.

Forces the octave mark on every measure's first note, not just measures that start a new braille line. Additive on top of BANA's required rules — never removes a mark that would already show.

Clef signs are normally omitted in braille music (BANA 4.1). Turn this on for a facsimile transcription — the clef is stated once, right after the first measure's number.

For a vocal-ensemble (SATB) score with piano accompaniment, names the voice part outlined above the keyboard's right hand (BANA §29.8). BANA leaves this to the transcriber's judgment rather than always naming the soprano; defaults to the staff named "Soprano" if left blank. Has no effect on any other score shape.

For a vocal-ensemble-with-keyboard-accompaniment score, skips the solo-outline line above the keyboard's right hand entirely — BANA §29.8 explicitly allows this when the keyboard doubles most of the ensemble's music, common in hymn accompaniments. Included by default.

Controls when the whole-measure repeat sign is used, independent of Braille Compression's shorthand-carrying. "Single-Voice Only" never compresses a measure with in-accord (multi-voice) content.

Minimum number of consecutive identical measures required before the repeat sign is used instead of writing them out. Only matters when Full-Measure Repeat isn't Off.
